5 Cleaning Household Habits to Speed Up Your Day
5 Cleaning Household Habits to Speed Up Your Day
Cleaning household habits are formed at a very early age and can make a huge difference–good or bad—in your daily life. If the habits are effective they can speed up your cleaning routine considerably. If they are poor cleaning habits, you can actually increase the amount of time you spend keeping your house tidy.
Here are 5 cleaning household habits that will speed up your day and keep the house looking fantastic:
Always multitask through the day
Of all the tips you could get, this one is the most powerful and effective. Multitasking can change your entire existence if you truly embrace the idea. If you are on hold while calling the credit card company, wash those dishes while you wait. If you are taking a shower and finish up quickly, go ahead and wipe down the tub and walls. If you have several minutes waiting on the kid’s bus to arrive, go ahead and clean up the front stoop while you watch. This will add up over time and you will be shocked at how little you have to do when cleaning time comes.
Keep wipes all over your home
The wipes they sell today can be used on most everything but make sure before using them on certain surfaces. Place these wipes in inconspicuous places all through the home to provide for a quick solution to daily problems.
Write out a schedule
A daily cleaning schedule is a huge boost to productivity and it can help you to stay on top of the constantly moving dirt in your home. It is very easy to miss areas in your home if you don’t make a schedule to keep all areas clean.
Share the load
Unless you live alone or with the elderly, you need to be asking for help. Anyone living in the home needs to pitch in. By sharing the workload, you can accomplish your duties quickly and easily throughout the week. My rule is, if you live here you are required to help. Kids included.
Spread out the work
Not everyone agrees with this tip, but I find it extremely powerful. If you do a little each day, it becomes a part of the daily schedule. Quick and easy jobs are much better than a whole day of laboring. Why put yourself through such silliness? Do a little each day and you will never have to spend hours on housework all at once.
These cleaning household habits are only a few of the most important ones and will absolutely speed up your daily cleaning schedule. Using teamwork and maximizing your time is the key. Nobody should shoulder the entire load unless they live by themselves. Rev up the team and get on it!
You will have a clean home in no time flat and get on to better or more important stuff!
