I just can’t express to you how happy I am with this super easy No Bake TWIX Caramel Apple Salad Recipe!  It took just under 10 minutes to whip it up too!  The hardest part was not eating the TWIX Candy bars before you put them in the recipe!  I had lots of little fingers trying to sneak a few from the bag when I wasn’t looking!

I started with a few ingredients:

Then I busted out the TWIX Bites!  I’m so happy about the TWIX Bites for a couple reasons.  First, I feel as though I get more chocolate in every bite of these and I love chocolate!  Next is because they are small and easy to cut.  OH Wait!  There’s another reason!  They are not individually packaged!  I didn’t have to spend lots of time opening them up.

I literally just dumped them on my cutting board and cut them one time!  TWIX Bites are my favorite because it doesn’t have any nuts.  You can make this recipe with your favorite candy bar but I highly recommend you try it with TWIX!  My kids will agree.  If you do like nuts, I suggest try making this with Snickers.

You can use any kind of apple with this recipe but I prefer the Granny Smith apple in this one.  It’s crisp and a tad bit tart which is perfect when you want a nice balance of sweetness in a dessert.  I love the crunch of this apple too.  It pairs perfectly with the cookie, caramel and chocolate in the TWIX Bites!

Here’s the easy part!  You start by mixing the vanilla pudding as instructed on the package but only use 1/4 cup milk.  Then you just mix the rest of the ingredients together!   I will let it set in the refrigerator to allow the pudding mixture to set a bit.  Usually it’s between 30 minutes to an hour.

To finish this off, you can drizzle a caramel sauce over the top of it to make it look pretty but it’s not necessary.  There’s plenty of caramel in the TWIX Bites!

I’m making this for the 3rd time today, and I get requests to bring it to the next gathering every time I make it. It’s so nice to have a dish that people LOVE! Already signed up to bring it again next weekend. My son uses 1 sm. pkg. of vanilla pudding and 1 sm. pkg of butterscotch pudding, and we use 6 apples, 2 lg cool whip, and two strips of the twix bars (probably 12 small bars total, chopped). YUM!

We had this today and it is SOOO Good! You almost don’t even need the candy bar. It would be just as good with just the apple chunks. Thanks for the share!

  3. If i want to double this recipe to make for 20-25 people. How many of each ingredient would u recommend?
    Thanks

For 25, as a side dish, use a doubling of the recipe. Also, mix the wet ingredients up/together and then cut up the apples. You don’t want the apple pieces sitting around changing color while you mix up the moist coating of yumminess.
I don’t use milk. I use 1 1/2 cups whipping cream and the 6 serving instant vanilla pudding mix (no cool whip). Stays nice for several days. Start the whipping cream being whipped for just a minute then gradually mix in the rest of the pudding powder mix. I also add a tbsp of vanilla. I get creative with this — as can you. Favorites can be added to this as you wish! You know — m & m’s for example. Have Fun!! The twix don’t get soggy, either. I’ve also mixed in — and it was amazing — Honey Noosa Yoghurt!!!!!! I add that by stirring into the whipped cream just as I finish getting the whipped cream fairly whipped — before fully set. Noosa is the TOPS with this. Adds protein and some extra health to this dish. My kids want this to be supper — the main dish!!

I am really enjoying the finished product (I peeled my apples), but when I mixed the pudding packet with only 1/4 cup of milk, it made a lumpy paste that didn’t blend in with the whipped topping that I added next. I don’t know if more milk might have been better, or if there is a different order of mixing things that would have made a difference, but I do have little pudding lumps in my dessert. I think it would also be useful to have the amounts of the ingredients (7 oz. Twix, 12 or 16 oz. whipped topping, etc.). Regardless of all this, it’s super yummy. Thanks.

  5. So glad to find this recipe without Snickers, not a fan of the Snickers. What about Milky Way? Have you tried that?

    1. I’ll try it with the Milky Way bites too. I made this before n they loved it n I’m doing it again this week Kim

  6. How many oz in the large tub of cool whip? I have 2 smaller ones and was just curious .thsnks

      1. Do the apples turn brown? I wanted to make it today to serve tomorrow.

        1. soak the apples in orange juice to keep them from getting brown

  7. I did not make this salad yet because I am confused about how much milk to use..It says to use 1/4 cup milk then it says if you want it to set faster than just use 1/2 cup of milk,,this does not make sence to me

    1. Sorry about that Becky. We’ve tried this recipe two ways. We opted to make the pudding with less milk. This allows the pudding to set faster and it’s a thicker consistency. I’ve adjusted the wording so it is less confusing now.

Not having to open all of the individual TWIX Bites has got to save so much time! And great point about getting more chocolate in every bite with the size of the Bites! #client

  9. Oh goodness this recipe is outrageously amazing! I never wanted salad this bad.. 😉

  10. Just curious about how many oz. of twix you used? I know the recipe says 2 packages, but it doesn’t say what size package. Thanks!!

    1. I used two of the 7 oz bags of TWIX Bites. I love how I didn’t have to open them all individually! I love the new packaging! Make it super easy for recipes like this one!
