Big Boss Power Juicer Review
I’ve never been one to juice but with all the latest buzz about juicing I was excited to give this product a try. I don’t have much experience with other machines so I can only go by how it worked for me this time.
I started off with a few fresh veggies that I thought would be perfect for juicing. I quickly set up my brand new Big Boss Power Juicer with very little need to look at the instructions. I had it together in about 2 minutes. That’s a big plus for me because this means it’s easy to put together every time I want to use it.
Next, I flipped through a recipe booklet that came with the machine. I wanted to make my own concoction with my favorites so I didn’t bother with the recipes either.
We recently just harvested some lemons from our new lemon tree out back so we all thought it would be a great idea to add lemon to any drink we made. I had fresh kale, lemons, apples, carrots, pineapple, oranges and a lime too.
The Big Boss Power Juicer says you can put the whole apple in the machine and it will separate the pulp and juice. It sure did! Every last bit of it. Within a matter of seconds too! This baby is powerful! I got a bit carried away after putting the whole apple in this machine. I added a huge bunch of kale. Then I added a whole lemon with the peel and everything! I continued by adding a handful of carrots and an orange. I definitely went overboard. My nine year old daughter insisted on trying it before I did. I was just about a take a photo of how pretty the juice looks when she grabbed it and took a sip!
Here’s her reaction:
It was NOT good at all. It was all the lemon and lime I put into the juicer! Please, don’t do what I did. Be VERY CAREFUL when adding lemon or lime. Those are very powerful ingredients and you only need a little bit. haha! I’m still laughing as I think back to her reaction.
I was not about to let all that amazing juice go to waste so I divided it up and added some honey to each glass. Voila! Problem solved! I will never make that mistake again. Actually, I will try to follow some recipes from now on too.
I tried making my next batch of juice with less lemon and a bit more pineapple and it was smashing! Absolutely delicious! Totally worth the work!
The Big Boss Power Juicer definitely works as expected. There was not one bit of pulp in our juice. Not one bit!
Since I’m not a typical juicer, I didn’t know what to do with all the left over stuff after juicing. I decided to add it to my garden because I figured I took most of the vitamins from it already. If you have suggestions, please tell me by leaving a comment below because I’m clueless. Here’s a photo of what came out after I finished juicing. This stuff was completely dry too.
There’s only one thing I really didn’t like about this juicer. The bowl inside of this machine has extremely tiny holes that separate the juice from the rest of it and you eventually have to clean it. This was the only part that was a bit difficult to clean. I really had to scrub it. I’m guessing this is the cost of having a perfect cup of juice with no lumps though.
Here’s a glass of juice that we perfected! Look at the bright beautiful colors!
