Homemade Heart Shaped Nutella Hot Pockets
Homemade Heart Shaped Nutella Hot Pockets are made with love!! I always think of these sweet hot pockets when Valentine’s Day rolls around. What a fun and delicious way to show your loved ones you care.
I’m a sucker for homemade treats. It’s even better when it’s made from scratch. There are some things that just taste so much better when made fresh and this treat tops any dessert you may find in the store.
This recipe is not hard at all. As long as you have all the ingredients and tools, you should be able to fly right through these instructions. If you’ve already made any sort of pastry from scratch, then you know exactly what I am talking about. I used to think a homemade from scratch recipe was a scary thought. I was intimidated by the process. Well I am here to tell you don’t be. Just give it a try! I bet you will thank me later. Especially because we will walk you through every step in this process.
There’s a printable version of this recipe at the very bottom of this post.

Roll your dough to about 1/8″ onto a lightly floured surface and use your large heart cookie cutter to cut your shapes out
Scoop a good amount of Nutella in the center of half your dough hearts and place the other half on top
Use a fork to press your edges together, turn your hearts over and repeat
Use your finger to rub a small about of egg onto the edges to help them stick together
Bake for 50 minutes or until lightly golden brown
Let cool, they will be very hot, and enjoy!
Optional Topping Idea
Melt a cup of pink or red candy melts in a microwave safe bowl for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted
Pour into a decorating bag, cut a small tip off the end, and drizzle over your hearts
You could also use a frosting too but this could get sticky.
