How to Dye Easter Eggs Using Shaving Cream
I just learned How to Dye Easter Eggs Using Shaving Cream! This is probably the easiest (and most fun) technique we have ever tried with Easter Eggs.
You can snag a call of the cheap Dollar Store shaving cream and it will make the most beautiful designs you can imagine.
You can do like we did and use a muffin tin to make many different color combinations or you can use a full pan and create different color combinations in the pan too.
We tried this with whipped cream but it doesn’t hold up as well as the shaving cream does. If we were doing this project with little ones I might consider the whipped cream just in case they got it in their mouths.
Something to keep in mind when doing this project, use the gel food coloring! It gives the most vibrant colors and it won’t water down the shaving cream. I love that I can share tips like this so you don’t make the same mistakes I make.
If you have an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, you will be amazed at how easy it is to make Perfect Hard-Boiled Eggs in the Pressure Cooker! Not only will they cook fast but when you go to peel them the shell will come off easily. Buying this pressure cooker has made my life so much easier in many different ways.
Ingredients List:
1 can unscented shaving cream (not gel)
Muffin tins or baking pan
Gel food coloring
Directions:
1. Fill each muffin cup or baking pan up with shaving cream
2. Add several drops of food coloring on top of the shaving cream and swirl with a craft stick.
3. Place one egg at a time into the colored shaving cream and roll the egg until completely covered.
4. Let your eggs sit in the shaving cream for about 15-20 minutes (the longer the better the colors turn out)
5. Rinse with cold water.
