Apple Baked Beans
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 15 ounce cans pork and beans (or boston baked pork & beans)
- 1 cup diced granny smith apple about 1/2 of a large apple
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 slices bacon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and coat a 1 1/2 quart baking dish with a non stick cooking spray.
- Now you can combine all of your ingredients, except for the bacon, into a large bowl. Be sure to mix well.
- Pour this into a baking dish and lay the pieces of bacon on top. Cut them into pieces so that way they can lay better.
- Cover this dish and bake it in the oven you had prepared earlier for about 45 minutes, or possibly until it is thick and bubbly.
- Now be sure to uncover it before baking for another 5 minutes, then after that last bake then you are all done!
