Bacon Wrapped Mozzarella Cheese Dates Recipe
Bacon Wrapped Mozzarella Cheese Dates Recipe
I’ve been hooked on this Bacon wrapped Mozzarella Cheese stuffed Dates recipe ever since I first made it years ago. It’s a sweet and salty delight and serves nicely as a party appetizer. There are two tricks to this ingredient. One is the use of Kraft Mozzarella String cheese and the other is thick bacon! Pair that together with a sweet date and you have a special treat on your hands!
Ingredients Needed:
Dates (without the seed in the middle) Kraft Mozzarella String Cheese (Kraft has many different flavors but I used Mozzarella)Thick Bacon (any Bacon will do but I prefer the thick cut bacon)
Directions:
First remove the pits from the dates by slicing them down the center on one side. Just like this photo:
Then open your Kraft Mozzarella String cheese packages and cut them into two. Place the cut string cheese into the sliced date.
Finally wrap it with your bacon. I did have to cut my bacon in half because it was really long. Place the end part of the bacon at the bottom of your casserole dish so it won’t unravel. Tip: Spray your casserole pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking or line it with tin foil for easy cleanup. (wished I would have done this)
Place it in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 20 to 3o minutes. You can tell because the bacon will be completely cooked and the cheese will be oozing out the sides. YUMMY!
Serve warm.
Enjoy!
