Balanced Lifestyle and Back on Track Plan! #WowThatsGood #shop #cbias
It’s the new year and time to make up for all those unhealthy choices I made this last month. Too many parties and too much good food. I love good food. Who doesn’t right? Time for this girl to get “back on track and I have a Balanced Lifestyle plan!
I’m off to a great start because I just made my first lunch and it was amazing! I chose to eat the LEAN CUISINE® Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels, a salad and some grapes! Oh, and there are 2 servings in one package of those pretzels too! I didn’t even realize that when I bought it! What a bargain!
I’ve got my husband on board with my plan too! It’s so much easier when you have a plan and a buddy that will do it with you. My goal is to eat healthier but not restrict myself from the foods I love. Basically, just have better choices and portion control. Sounds easy enough.
When it comes to eating healthier my biggest problem is food prep. I love salads but I hate taking tons of stuff out of the fridge, cut it up and then clean up the mess. I’ve decided to invest in some handy dandy storage containers to help with my problem. I am doing all of my food prep on Sundays so I will be ready for the week. This all sounds so easy but it’s honestly my biggest problem because I wait for a long time before I eat and then I feel as though I am starving so I grab anything and everything within reach right when I open the fridge. This will help me for sure!
First step in my plan was to head to Wal-mart to grab some groceries. I shop on a weekly basis so I needed enough healthy choices for the whole week. First stop, the freezer isle for LEAN CUISINE®! I’ve tried other healthier food options but I’m rather picky so there was no negotiating with my choice here. Hubby agrees!
Now for choices. There’s not anything we’ve tried that we don’t like so that was easy too! There were many new options so I was certain to grab a few of those too!
Here’s what I got for the week! Hubby nearly copied my choices too.
- LEAN CUISINE® Sesame Chicken
- LEAN CUISINE® Simple Favorites™ Macaroni and Cheese
- LEAN CUISINE® Morning Collection™ (Turkey Sausage English Muffin)
- LEAN CUISINE® Wrap ADDITIONS™ (Creamy Balsamic Chicken)
- LEAN CUISINE® Stuffed Pretzels (Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels)
- LEAN CUISINE® baked Chicken
I’m highly impressed with the new Lean Cuisine Money Back Guarantee too! Try it for 10 days and see how great you feel! Money Back Guarantee! Read more about it here.
Next stop, fruits and veggies!
Here’s what I got:
- Bell Peppers (I love the red ones)
- Boiled Eggs (I hate making these and prepping them so I bought them already made!)
- Lettuce
- Snap Peas (My fav)
- Cucumbers
- Onions (white and purple)
- Carrots
- Mushrooms
- Oranges
- Grapes
Now for the hard part. The prep. I wished veggies came packaged like the way I like them.
It wasn’t too bad considering I did them all at the same time. The hubs offered to help but I kindly declined.
Done! And it stacks nicely in the fridge too!
There are two things I am addicted to that may ruin my plan, or so I thought. I love my coffee and I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Don’t laugh. It’s true.
I found these Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolate desserts to help keep me in line! Look! I’m totally stoked about these because they taste amazing!
And I won’t give up my coffee but I will switch to the Coffee-mate Sugar Free French Vanilla as a better option.
Now my plan is complete! The hardest part is to get moving. By moving I mean exercise. I don’t know about you but it’s real hard for me to get moving when it’s really cold outside. We bundled up and got out the door. Thank goodness for the sunshine!
All in all I think my plan for healthier eating to get back on track will be successful. I’ve thought of all the details and now I just need to complete the plan. With all my food prepped and delicious Lean Cuisine choices I am set!
I love, love, love the cheesy goodness in these pretzel bites! Look:
What about you? Do you have a plan?
I’ll have to make sure to try all of these! Look great!!! #client
I love the food prep idea! Thank you for sharing how to get back on track! #client
Orange Juice is served every morning but Saturday. The plan assumes 4 servings of 1/2-cup each for every morning it’s served. Orange Juice supplies Vitamin C and Folic Acid, once again, necessary for pregnant mothers and growing children.
