Blendtec Designer Series Blender Review
Blendtec Designer Series Blender Review
I’m excited to tell you about my Blendtec Designer Series Blender review! First, I don’t think there is anything a bit more excited in the kitchen when you get a new high end blender to try! I love testing out kitchen gadgets especially the ones I use often. Blendtec sent me this blender in exchange for my review.
I will start off with all the good points for me.
First, The Blendtec Designer Series looks nice which means I will leave it out on my counter area and not stuff it away after every use. I am talking about the design of the machine but I am also referring to the buttons. There is absolutely no way for food to spill in between the buttons. I think the single most important thing that I like about this blender (besides the fact it works great) is it fits under my kitchen cabinets perfectly with the lid on. I’ve owned a comparable Vita-Mix so I can tell the differences between them.
The next thing I really like about the Blendtec is the lid fits securely with out a bit fuss of trying to get it to fit on. Just press the lid on this a slight push and it’s secure. You won’t need a lot of muscle for this. I remember on some of my other blenders it would be a fight between my lid and me or if it was too easy to put on then most likely it was spill. Not with the Blentec.
I remember have a stick with the Vita-mix but the Blentec doesn’t require a stick because it’s designed to circulate contents by itself. Adding the right amount of liquids helps the vortex pull all the liquids downward blending it perfectly nearly every time.
There is a big difference with the blades too. The blades on the Blendtec are pointed upwards allowing food not to get stuck which means no wasted food. I don’t like to waste any food so this was a pretty important observation for me. Besides, clean up was easy when food wasn’t stuck in the blades too.
There was one thing that I didn’t like about the Blendtec and that’s the sound. It’s very loud. Most blenders are load so it’s not unusual but I really wished there was a way to cut down on the noise for these machines. If that was done this machine would be perfect in every way.
I also received the Twister Jar with my Blendtec.
This may be my absolute favorite tool for making fresh peanut butter! This gadget can blend through peanuts and almonds like nobody’s business! This gadget is tough! No more buying expensive nut butters for me! I can make my own with the press of a button! You can even make ice cream with the twister jar. (I haven’t tried that yet but I plan to in the summer). I tried making my Walnut Basil Pesto recipe though and it worked like a charm. Plus. The twister jar has a fun little lid that has two little sides the slide down the side of the jar so that when you twist the lid is scraps the side of the twister jar. Too cool!
There’s a fun recipe booklet that comes with the Twister Jar. Recipes for nut butters, ice cream, thick milkshakes, pest, pizza dough, Mayonnaise, guacamole, pie crust, veggie burgers, energy bards and baby food too! I never even thought about making pizza dough or pie crust in my blender.
After fulling reviewing my Blentec Designer Series Blender I have to say that I am a highly satisfied person and I am proud to be the owner of a Blentec! I plan to share many, many recipes with you very soon!
Stay tuned because I plan to give away a Black Designer Series Blendtec Blender starting on Dec 2, 2013!
