Easy Dark Chocolate Ice Cream
Easy Dark Chocolate Ice Cream
If there is one thing that is an absolute necessity during summer (other than sun block) it’s ice cream! It just makes everyone happy! Ice cream is also one of those things you can play around with and make in pretty much any flavor you like. Since I LOVE dark chocolate, we decided to try this Easy Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe! Now, I don’t have one of those fancy ice cream makers, but that’s okay. You don’t need one!
Easy Dark Chocolate Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of dark chocolate cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar packed
- a pinch of salt
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add the dark chocolate cocoa powder, both of the sugars and the salt. Whisk together until well mixed.
- While continuing to whisk, add the milk and the cream. Continue to whisk all ingredients until fully combined and the cocoa powder is completely dissolved. Make sure the cocoa powder doesn't have any lumps.
- Add the vanilla and whisk again.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer safe container, cover it and place container in the freezer. Allow ice cream to freeze for at least 2 hours.
- Sit ice cream out for 5 to 10 minutes allowing it to soften before serving.
