Easy Lemon Sugar Scrub Recipe

We love our Easy Lemon Sugar Scrub Recipe and we beat that you will too!  You know we love sugar scrubs and gifts in a jar because we post so many of them!  They have all been highly popular with most of our iSave Readers too!

If you have dry or rough skin this sugar scrub recipe will be a life saver for you!  We like to add NOW Solutions Vegetable Glycerine to our sugar scrubs because it really does help to keep moisture in your hands.  It’s amazing stuff.  It’s known for being an outstanding moisturizer and skin cleanser!  It’s hypoallergenic and has a super long shelf life.  Try it if you haven’t already.  It’s worth every penny!

We love decorating our sugar scrubs with cute ribbons too.  This recipe uses the small pint size mason jars with small thick ribbon.  The reason I say to use the small thick ribbon is because this will most likely be sitting my a sink area getting wet when you use it.  If you use a dainty sheer ribbon it won’t look very pretty after it gets wet a few times.  The smaller thick ribbon like these hold up really nicely.  I speak from experience.  🙂

  2. Where do you buy the Vegetable glycerin && is it in with beauty products or grocery?

    1. You can guy it at a health food store (I believe) or you can order it in the link from Amazon in the post.

  3. How did you attach the little labels? Hot glue gun?

  4. do you have to melt the coconut oil at all?

  5. Thank you! This was very helpful to me! Making sugar scrubs to give away as Christmas gifts 🙂

  6. How long do these scrubs keep fresh & usable? Also, is this a body scrub or just for hands? Thanks!

    1. If you make the scrub without the Vegetable Glycerine I notice that over time the sugars do become a hard crust on the top. You have to stir it and then use it. However, I’ve noticed when you do add the Vegetable Glycerine it keeps for over a year without the crust! It’s also a lighter texture too. I’m not exactly sure it ever really “goes bad” so to speak because you don’t consume it. I’ve also used it on my body too. I prefer to use the Vegetable Glycerine in all of my sugar scrub recipes because it helps your skin retain moisture. I highly recommend it!

  7. I thought I saw a Christmas potpourri recipe on your site but not cannot find it. It also offered printable tags for the bags. Can you help me. Thanks, Kathy
