Easy Meal Ideas
It’s hard enough to get through a busy day without having to stress over dinner right? I’ve created some amazing and super delicious meals with an Easy Meal Ideas strategy in mind! If you have a husband that doesn’t cook, even he can make these!
Easy meal ideas that actually taste good are far and few between but these are ones you will probably want to include on your weekly meal plan. You can save some money as a bonus too! I shopped at Safeway/Randall’s to save a few bucks. Right now they are promoting Save $3 when you buy ANY THREE participating Hillshire Brands products – Mix & Match!
If you are signed up for the “Just for U” program you will save $3 when you buy 3 Hillshire Farm products. You have to be signed up to get this deal though. Sign up now to get the savings and head to Safeway because this deal ends on Saturday, October 19th so be sure to stop of at the store before then! It’s totally worth it!
Here are my Easy Meal Ideas:
Breakfast for four
Breakfast Ingredients:
- Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Sausage
- 6 eggs
- Pepper to taste
- Optional: Shredded cheese as a topping
Breakfast Instructions:
Heat the pre-cooked Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Sausage in a frying pan just enough for it to warm up. In a separate bowl whisk 6 eggs and add pepper. Next you can add a tablespoon of olive oil or water to help keep the eggs from sticking to the pan and add the egg mixture. Cook it for a few more minutes until the eggs are fluffy. Top with cheese and serve warm. Honestly, I think this took under 5 minutes to make! Super easy and yummy too!
Lunch
Lunch Ingredients:
- Ball Park® Premium Hot Dogs
- Hot Dog Buns
- Optional: hot dog toppings such as ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, mayo etc…
Lunch Instructions:
Simple heat the Ball Park® Premium Hot Dogs in the microwave for about 30 seconds for each. If you like the buns warm you can heat those for 10 seconds each. Add your toppings and serve warm. We love mustard on our Ball Park® Premium Hot Dogs! YUMMY! Super easy meal idea.
Dinner
Dinner Ingredients:
- Hillshire Farm® Angus Rope Smoked Sausage (we purchased the Italian flavor and LOVE IT!)
- Red Peppers
- Green Peppers
- Yellow Peppers
- Orange Peppers
- Onions
- tortillas
Dinner Instructions:
First, I want to tell you that the amount of ingredients in the photos below are to serve about 6 to 8 people. I make a lot of this because my family loves to take it as lunch the next day too.
Start by chopping up all of the vegetables first. I sliced mine because I like them big but you can cut them as small as you want too. Add all the veggies to a frying pan with about 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Fry them until the onions are caramelized (browned and soft). While the veggies are cooking, start slicing the Hillshire Farm® Angus Rope Smoked Sausage. Heat the Hillshire Farm® Angus Rope Smoked Sausage in a separate pan just enough for it to be warm and ready to eat. It didn’t take mine all but about 5 minutes. Mix the sausage and veggies together and serve it by itself or on a tortilla! I personally like to eat a huge bowl of this all by itself. Yeah, it’s that good! No need for seasonings either because the Hillshire Farm® Angus Rope Smoked Sausage adds all the flavors you need!
Tip: The chopping of the veggies takes the longest time with this meal. As a time saving strategy you could through them in a food processor and save time or you could prepare the veggies ahead of time and even freeze until you plan to use them.
These are just a few recipes to help keep me (a busy Mom) sane! Out of these recipes I can tell you that the dinner idea is our absolute favorite and we have this at least one a week! My husband will even serve himself the sausage and veggies on two slices of french bread too! He absolutely loves the taste! I personally love that everyone hardly notices the amount of veggies I squeezed into that meal. SHHH! Don’t mention it either! haha!
