We have a major love for M&M’s in our home so we had fun with a snack and a video game!  We are super excited to share with you the new Gaming with M Pixel Art Contest we decided we wanted to enter.

You also need to know about the new Forza Motorsport 5 game that just came out.  If you are any kind of a gamer I’m certain you know the game I am talking about.  It’s the racing game that everyone is talking about.  Forza 5!!!  Man, you should see the graphics in this game!  I totally felt like I was on the race track!

We always have M&M’s in stock so when we heard the was a contest we had a few fun creative moments at our dining room table.  My kids and I love art.  We love art of all kinds.  I think the best kind of art is the art you can eat!  🙂  Who says you can’t play with your food, right?!  Just look at some of the fun edible art pieces my daughters and I made.

We thought about our favorite gaming characters.  Pikachu tops the list!  Do you remember that game called Pokemon Snap where you take photos in the game?  We played that game so much that we wore it out.  We could tell you every trick in the book to get pass all the tough spots!  We read the gamers guide from cover to cover too.  Oh the memories we made!

Here’s our attempt at a Pikachu.  Not bad but not great either.

 

Let’s try this again.  Hmmm…  still not the best.  Dude, try to make a Pixel Art project with M&M’s!  It’s not as easy as you think!

 

 

Our next attempt is Mario of Mario Bros!  This one is amazing!

 

How about a little Minecraft?!!!  We love Minecraft!!!

 

 

Now my personal favorite game is Tetris!  Remember the Dr Mario version of Tetris!  Oh my goodness we could sing the tunes of the background music because we played that game so much too!  In fact, I’m wondering where that game is today.  It’s an old one but a good one.  I want to play it right now!  We have it for the old Nintendo 64 system which we still have too.  Can you believe it!

 

Just think of how far gaming has come.  Think about that old Tetris game and now think about the graphics in the new Forza 5 racing game.  Big difference!  Guess what,  I love the new games but I love the old ones just as much.  Maybe because it’s the memories behind them.  Who knows.

Can you tell we had loads of fun preparing for the M&M’s contest!  We made even more memories!  We ate our Pixel Art Sprites when we were done too.  Do you think we have a shot at winning?  I say I’ve already won with the precious moments I get to spend with my kiddos as we do fun and silly projects like this one.
