Skinny Cocktail Recipes for the Holidays
I’m always trying to find some really good Skinny Cocktail Recipes for the Holidays but I seem to go back to the same drink recipe over and over again. When we have gatherings for the holidays I am always aware of food allergies and drink preferences. I make sure to have regular and diet options for all. I also have cocktails and mocktails too. The prep that goes into these gatherings are really well thought out.
I’ve had many of these parties and one drink in particular always seems to be a favorite among many. It’s my Skinny Canada Dry Ginger Ale® and Vanilla Vodka drink with raspberries and lime. Just typing it is making my mouth water. Mmmmm, Mmmmm, MMM!
This skinny cocktail recipe is the one that is most requested and the easiest of drinks to make too. For those that don’t care for diet anything, you can serve it with regular Canada Dry Ginger Ale®.
Be sure to keep some on hand not only for parties but unexpected gatherings as well. I happen to be in my local Walmart and found a few new flavors of Canada Dry Ginger Ale® variety includes cranberry, green tea, mandarine orange too. Cranberry! Yes please! The 2 litter bottles are only a dollar.
Here’s what you need:
Diet Canada Dry Ginger Ale® (or regular Canada Dry Ginger Ale if they prefer)
Vanilla Vodka (or leave it out for a mocktail)
Fresh Raspberries
Fresh Lime
Ice
Optional: Splash of peach schnapps
I’ve always been a bit surprised that lots of people prefer the skinny drink recipes over the regular. One of my friends explained it best. She says her reasoning is because the drink made with diet Canada Dry Ginger Ale® tastes just as good as the regular Canada Dry Ginger Ale® so she would prefer to save her calories for dessert or have a few extra drinks. Makes total sense to me. I’m extremely reactive to sugar so for me I don’t have an option. I’m very happy with my diet Canada Dry Ginger Ale®.
Here’s the recipe:
50 ml. Vanilla Vodka of your choice
125 ml. of Diet (or regular) Canada Dry Ginger Ale®
about 5 or so fresh Raspberries
1 lime wedge
Start off by pouring the vodka over ice. You can use a jigger to measure it out but I’ve become so good at it that I just eyeball it.
Drop in the Raspberries
Add the Diet (or regular) Canada Dry Ginger Ale®
Optional: add just a splash of peach schnapps for added flavor.
Finally, top it with a lemon wedge.
Enjoy! Cheers.
There you have it. One of our most popular skinny cocktail recipes for the holidays. But don’t stop there. We have been known to unwind from a long day on the farm by relaxing as we watch the sunset after a long day of clearing brush too. That was the case for me today. Just look at the road we cleared.
It may not look like much but it was a lot of work. I unwind by enjoying the bubble crisp taste of my skinny cocktail recipe. You can almost taste the bubbles and real ginger taste in the photo below, can’t you?!
So let me ask you, what is your most popular holiday drink recipe? I would love to know. Leave me a comment below.
