Spinach Pakoras
Ingredients
- 1 cup besan/gram flour
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped spinach or palak
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 1 chopped green chili
- 1 tsp fennel seed powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- a pinch of asafoetida/hing
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2-1 cup water
- salt for taste
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients together into a semi think batter. This batter should not be thin, but more like idli bater.
- Take spoonfuls of the pakora, and fry them in hot oil until they are a golden brown in color.
- Once fried, these Spinach Pakoras can be served with tomato sauce, chutney, and bread slices.
