  • 1 8oz package of crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 1lb package of ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 package of southern style hash browns small cubed potatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons green bell pepper chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano

Instructions

  • Brown and drain breakfast sausage.
  • Sprinkle a thin layer of sausage and hash browns evenly onto the top of the crescent dough.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, green pepper, salt, pepper and oregano. Pour over sausage and potatoes.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes and slice into bars to serve.

Notes

You can substitute sausage for bacon. I had to cook my first Breakfast Bake a little longer to get it completely done in the middle. The second time I made it, I split the ingredients into two 9x9 baking dishes so everyone got a crispy corner.
