Fire up the grill so it's ready to go.
Lay the hamburger patties on a baking sheet and salt and pepper each side to taste.
Start to cook your hamburgers like you normally would, BUT pull them off about 3 minutes before they are done.
While the burgers are cooking, set out a pie plate and pour the BBQ sauce in it.
As you pull the almost cooked hamburgers off the grill, lay them in the pie plate and coat each side well with the BBQ sauce.
Put the hamburgers back on the grill and continue to cook for the last few minutes.
Serve warm. Top with whatever toppings you like, or enjoy them as they are.
