Zike Z150 Scooter Review
I got a chance to test out the new Zike Z150 Scooter! This scooter is way different from anything I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried them all!
The Zike Z150 scooter is meant for ages 8+ all the way up to adults. I’m already checking out the Z600 model too! It’s a cross between a scooter and a bike… it’s a ZIKE!
All you have to do is give a push off just like you are on a scooter and start stepping on the pedals just like you would for a stair stepper almost. Alternating one side and then the other. The range of motion for your feet is not wide or long so it’s fairly easy to start riding right away. It’s almost like riding a bike but without sitting down. It’s a great workout. Me and my 9 year fight over who gets to ride it everyday. We agreed to take turns.
I really enjoy the workout I get when riding it. I love how the kids don’t even realize they are getting exercise because of the fun they are having too.
There are three different models so everyone in your family can enjoy a Zike! Check out all the Zike products here.
Z100 = ages 8 – 12 weight limit 150 lbs
Z150 = ages 8 to adults weight limit 160 lbs
Z600 = ages 16 and up weight limit 200 lbs
Assembling is was an easy task. The tools are included and basically you are just attaching the pedals and adjusting the handle bar. That’s it! We had it assembled in less than 10 minutes!
I did notice the brakes work really well so you slowly squeeze the brake lever when you want to stop. I pressed it really, really hard and stopped pretty fast.
My husband caught a video of me trying it for the very first time. I was a little scared but quickly figured it out:
